As an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) for the past 9 years, I’ve enjoyed teaching and practicing yoga with students of all ages. I believe yoga is a powerful tool that we can all tap into and together we can share a practice that will bring more awareness to the breath and body.

As a mom and an early childhood teacher of many years, I understand the importance of mindfulness and movement in the development of our children and the importance of a practice for parents as well. Having taught Kids Yoga for the past 5 years and recently being certified as a Kid’s Yoga instructor through Seattle Kids Yoga, I decided to make this my primary focus. Working with students of all ages gain tools to regulate their emotions, allowing families opportunities to move together and connect in a non-competitive way, and giving children as safe space is my goal for this practice. Together, we will create a practice that is age appropriate, meets the needs of the student/s, and most importantly fun!

What People Are Saying….

“Having a yoga program for our Kindergarten class has made such a difference in my teaching techniques and classroom behavior. Kristen teaches more than poses. The children learn breathing techniques to use to calm themselves, how to cool down on hot days and how to notice how their bodies are feeling. These skills transfer to out daily class activities and help us all learn and grow in a calm, happy environment.” – Ms. Nancy ~Teacher, First Lutheran Kindergarten and Preschool, Shoreline

“I love yoga because it helps me calm down and relax. I notice I pay attention better at school after yoga class.”

Lydia, age 9, 3rd Grade

“We hired Kristen to create a personalized yoga routine for our 8 year old daughter. We wanted something that could help her release stress and calm herself easily. Kristen put together a plan that our daughter could use in five different ways making it so easy for use it in whatever time was available, even if only a minute or two. Kristen then spent 45 minutes teaching her the poses and making sure she felt prepared to use them. Kristen is warm, kind and so patient. The plan has been an incredible asset for our girl during times of stress. We can not recommend Kristen highly enough!!” – Kira~ mom, Bothell
